Tim studied improv under Amy Poehler, comedy writing with Tom Purcell, executive producer of The Colbert Report, and has appeared on SNL, Conan O’Brien, Onion Sports Network, and HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. He’s emceed events featuring Pixar CEO John Lassiter, Emmy-Winner Tony Hale (VEEP, Arrested Development) and Nobel Peace Prize winner Desmond Tutu. Tim has performed at corporate events for IBM, Cisco, Deloitte, CDC, Google and The White House. His award-winning corporate work has been featured in The New York Times, WSJ, Ad Age, ADWEEK, and Fast Company. He has presented at Content Marketing World Sydney, SXSW and Forrester’s CMO Council.
Tim holds an MBA from McCombs at University of Texas at Austin and a BBA from Texas A&M University.
About Our Breakfast
Comedy is sometimes used in place of pity when the message is related to a cause, but doesn’t play directly into it. Often a tugging of the heart strings is used to engage donors, volunteers and heighten awareness of a cause. More and more, organizations have started going in a new direction and are using humor in their messaging. This will be an interactive session in which Tim will provide directive and share examples on how to use humor appropriately and successfully in fundraising; face to face meetings, events, videos, presentations, collateral material and more.

The Fairfield County Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) will hold its monthly educational program on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at The Norwalk Inn & Conference Center, 99 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Registration/networking starts at 7:30 a.m., and the buffet opens/meeting starts promptly at 8:00.

*Anyone who has made a reservation and cannot attend the breakfast must cancel by 12 pm on the Wednesday preceding the breakfast. If no cancellation has been received, there will be no refund or carry over of the breakfast fee. If pre-payment has not been made and no cancellation has been received by 12 pm on Wednesday, that person will be billed for the amount due for the breakfast.
