Welcome to the Fairfield County Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP.) AFP is the professional association of individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of nonprofit or charitable organizations. AFP represents more than 30,000 fundraisers in 197 chapters in the United States, Canada, Mexico and China, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The Association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession. The Fairfield County Chapter of AFP represents more than two hundred fundraisers, primarily in southwestern Connecticut. AFP was formerly the National Society of Fund Raising Executives. The Association of Fundraising Professionals Fairfield County Chapter would like to express our sincere gratitude for the support provided by Mike Winn, director of chapter services for the Eastern U.S. Many of you have met him at our meetings and our conferences. Mike willingly shared his experience and wisdom to guide us through many changes over the past few years and to answer the many questions stemming from the process.
