Luncheon – The ABC’s of Planned Giving – Speaker: Ellen Estes; Sponsor: Dylewsky, Goldberg & Brenner, LLC

Ellen G. Estes, LL.B., a graduate of the Yale Law School, started her career as an estate planning and tax attorney.  She then became Legal Counsel to the Campaign for Yale, and later served as the first Director of Development of the acclaimed Long Wharf Theatre in Connecticut.

Ellen now consults with non-profit organizations nation-wide on major and planned gift matters.  She is a regular speaker at professional conferences around the country and is widely recognized for her no-nonsense, basic seminars in Estate Planning and Planned Giving.

Ellen’s presentation will provide new information to people not familiar with Planned Giving – and reinforce what others already know.  She will discuss what assets to give, and ways that those assets can be given.  She will also discuss what gift options may be attractive to donors in our current economic climate.

In 2008 Ellen was awarded the prestigious David M. Donaldson Distinguished Service Award by the Planned Giving Group of New England.  Ellen and her husband, Frank, were awarded the Outstanding Fundraising Professionals of the Year Award by the Connecticut Chapters of AFP in November 2012.  Her popular seminars, Planned Giving – Plain & Simple are presented in the northeast in the spring each year.

Fairfield County Bank

In 1871, a group of public-spirited citizens founded Ridgefield Bank to provide for the financial well-being of residents and businesses in Ridgefield and neighboring communities. Three years later in Norwalk, another forward-looking civic group established Fairfield County Savings Bank.  In January 2004 the two banks united to become Fairfield County Bank and today operate 18 branches in 11 towns throughout Fairfield County.  In addition, they operate Fairfield County Bank Insurances Services, a full service insurance company and Fairfield County Financial Services, an investment services group.  With $1.5 billion in assets Fairfield County Bank is large enough to meet the needs of sophisticated clients and small enough to work one-on-one with individuals.
