Luncheon – Asking the Philanthropic Questions: What motivating factors drive giving for high net worth donors & what YOU can do to meet their needs – Speaker: David Ratcliffe; Sponsored by Fairfield County Bank

2012 Bank of America Study of High Net Worth Philanthropy – the link below from our speaker provides information on the complete report along with a summary of the findings:

http://newsroom.bankofamerica.com/press-kit/bank-america-high-net-worth-philanthropy-study

Did you know?

  • Wealthy donors’ giving represents, on average, 9% of their household income.
  • Among high net worth individuals, 89% volunteer their time and talents with nonprofits.
  • In 2011, 41% of wealthy donors consulted with at least one outside advisor regarding their charitable giving.

Enhance your fundraising strategies by understanding the giving patterns, priorities and attitudes of America’s wealthiest households. Valuable findings that will be shared and discussed include factors that enhance donor loyalty, donor expectations of nonprofits, how giving decisions are made and who is consulted within high net worth donors’ center of influence.

The recently released studies, “The 2012 Bank of America Study of High Net Worth Philanthropy” and “The 2011 Study of High Net Worth Women’s Philanthropy,” provide new insights into the demographic and psychographic factors driving family philanthropy, women’s philanthropy, volunteerism and charitable giving. Over the past 6 years, Bank of American has conducted, in partnership with the Center on Philanthropy at IndianaUniversity, these studies which have set the benchmark for research on the giving practices of high net worth donors.
