The Fairfield County Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals “AFP” and the Fairfield County Community Foundation’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence are pleased to present The AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising Course.

This program was designed by AFP International to meet the real-world needs and challenges nonprofit professionals face every day. It is an opportunity for nonprofit staff and board members to increase their understanding of the development function and the main components of a complete fundraising program. It will engage participants, making the learning  experience substantive and enjoyable.

The program is a 16-hour course of study, worth 16.0 points of CFRE Education Credit, that will be offered over four consecutive Wednesdays from 9 am to 1 pm. Participants will receive a certificate from AFP International for completing the course.

• Overview of Fundraising
• Developing an Integrated Fundraising Program
• Marketing for Ongoing Success
• Building and Sustaining Relationships
• Securing the Gift
• Volunteers
• Management & Accountability

Dates:  May 30, June 6, June 13 and June 20 (Wednesdays)

Time:  9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Cost:  $200 for AFP members, $250 for nonmembers

Target Audience:  Development professionals with fewer than 4 years of experience and board members
