Join a Committee

What we do…

Programs – plans, organizes, promotes, and evaluates the chapter’s year-round educational in-person and virtual lunch programs including the more casual social track of networking events.

Sponsorship – collaborates with the Programs committee to strategize, plan, and solicit partnerships with businesses that benefit and support AFP Fairfield County Chapter’s programs.  The committee actively pursues financial support of monthly events and the annual National Philanthropy Day event while communicating the benefits of sponsorship.

Communications – oversees public communications of the chapter – both in the form of marketing and public relations, produces and shares the good news of members, current and upcoming events, and the benefits of AFP. 

This is where you can share any of the following skills: effective communications, discernment in messaging, basic software such as Canva, the ability to navigate social media platformsand an interest in email marketing and website integration.

Membership – oversees the recruitment of new members and the communication of member benefits to potential and current members. Plans member recognition for ongoing achievements.

BE the CAUSE -BE the CAUSE is the AFP Foundation’s Annual Fund  and supports local, national, and international programs including scholarships, diversity and inclusion initiatives, leadership development, education, research, and much more. A portion of every donation comes back to the Fairfield County AFP Chapter to support local professional development programs and scholarships. The BE the CAUSE Committee helps engage the Chapter’s community in giving to advance our mission.
