PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Colleagues in Fundraising, Welcome to the website of the Fairfield County Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. We live in a global community, and our chapter is part of a vibrant and growing international organization. We work in a challenging but very rewarding profession. Our chapter and all of our AFP colleagues are dedicated to promoting professionalism and ethical fundraising. Our profession constantly changes, but also builds on foundation blocks common to good fundraising. We believe that we are members of a human community. We care for each other and want to support each other. We share our resources to help those who need them. In a word, we know how to ask because we know how to and do give. Fairfield County AFP is prepared to help you become the best fundraiser you can be. Our monthly luncheon programs take place at the Quattro Pazzi restaurant in Norwalk. We meet on the first Thursday of the month; our luncheon meal is served at 11:45 AM. We offer a good meal, educational experience and a community of colleagues, all for just $25.00 a month for our members! Get the hint! Non members are very welcome to join us but the price is a bit more. This is a great year for you to join AFP if you have not already. Our international convention will be close to us in Baltimore, MD. The convention cost is much more inexpensive for members. Finally all members receive monthly notice of our program topic and speakers in advance of the monthly meeting from Marianne Hickey, our Chapter Administrator. I hope to see you at our next meeting.
