Stamford Symphony Orchestra Music Director Roger Nierenberg will keynote the 2003 Connecticut Philanthropy Day Conference. A dynamic figure at the podium, Nierenberg is the creator of The Music Paradigm, which uses a symphony orchestra to convey effective management techniques applicable to a dynamic organization. Hosted by the Connecticut and Fairfield County Chapters of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the conference brings together leaders of the region’s philanthropic community under the banner “Now, More Than Ever”. Philanthropists, donors, volunteers and development professionals will participate in educational workshops and presentations designed to advance philanthropy across the state. Roger Nierenberg has been the Music Director of the Stamford Symphony Orchestra since 1980, and is an authority on organizational dynamics. Using the metaphor of an orchestra, Nierenberg has developed a successful educational program, called The Music Paradigm, in which he orchestrates the entire system of a team and takes his audience on an unusual and instructional journey of skill-building and leadership training. Since its inception in 1995, The Music Paradigm sessions have been held for major companies, leading financial institutions and global consulting firms worldwide. Nierenberg is entering his farewell season with the Stamford Symphony Orchestra. Prior to the SSO, Roger led the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra in Florida, where he established a special reputation for his highly successful collaborations with many of today’s outstanding soloists and composers. He has been a guest conductor for performances in some of the world’s most prominent music festivals and recorder with the London Philharmonic Orchestra on Sony Classical Records. |
