How to Thrive and Survive in Economic Uncertainty!

As signs of an economic slowdown continue, it’s important that non-profits do what they can to brace for the impact.  Learn what the indicators are showing us for the immediate future and the steps you can take to help your organization avert serious financial troubles.  Our panel discussion will include a financial economist, the Executive Director of a leading organization and a development consultant with experience both in and out of the trenches (see speaker details below).

You will learn:

  •   How to frame your approach to these challenging times

  • Why this is the best time to invest in your donors

  •   How to maximize opportunities that come your way

  • What you can do to strengthen the infrastructure of your organization

SPEAKERS:

Terry O’Connor – Executive Director, Cardinal Shehan Center, 1992-Present. Terry is a highly regarded fundraiser who believes that an Executive Director should spend 75% of his/her time fundraising.  He raised over $20 million since coming to the Cardinal Shehan Center, delivered the first balanced budget in the Center’s history (now including twelve years of surplus and two development professionals) and established its endowment.

He initiated the Lisa D’Addario/Shehan Golf Classic and the Diane L. Nappier/Shehan Golf Classic which raise over $300,000 annually.  He is a sought after charity auctioneer and volunteers his leadership and time freely.

During college basketball season, he hosts a weekly live radio show on WICC.
